Set up in 2020 Sylver Entertainment is an independent production company that specialises in developing exceptional ideas from their genesis through to the delivery. Be it feature documentaries, scripted theatrical, TV formats or commercial branded content.
Sylver’s focus is always on quality. Working with the finest film-making talent in the world, our team has a proven track record of creating and financing stories in order to bring them to life. Our team also has experience in taking distressed productions and restructuring them in order to bring them to market.
Simon Lazenby, Co-founder
Simon is the lead presenter of Sky Sports award-winning Formula One coverage. With 20 years experience both in front of and behind the camera, Simon also fronted Sky’s Rugby coverage between 2002 and 2012 including two Lions tours, all of England’s Internationals outside the six nations and 10 European and Premiership club seasons.
He has also hosted Test match cricket, PGA and European Tour golf tournaments. Twice nominated for a Broadcast award as well as being shortlisted for Sports Journalist of the Year in 2017.
Victoria Barrell, Co-founder
Victoria is an experienced theatrical and long form producer and has recently produced documentaries McENROE (directed by Barney Douglas, due for release Summer 2022) and THE GREATEST GAME (directed by Ashley Gething, due for release Summer 2022).
She previously produced THE EDGE (2019) directed by Barney Douglas and BOBBY ROBSON: MORE THAN A MANAGER (2018) directed by Gabriel Clarke, and co- produced indie dramas AMAR, AKBAR & TONY (2014) and SVENGALI (2013). Victoria structures finance for productions leveraging relationships with financial institutions, accountancy firms, sales companies and investors.
Simon Glass, Creative Director
Simon has directed and produced over a dozen films and documentaries for BBC England covering the Coronavirus Pandemic, Extinction Rebellion and the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. In 2019 he presented and co-produced an episode of BBC Four’s A VERY BRITISH HISTORY that was nominated for an RTS award.
Simon’s recent work for Sylver includes a promo for Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 to celebrate their record 8 World Championships and is now developing a slate of theatrical projects for release in 2023 including his debut, THE NUMBER GAME about football and the data revolution.
